Regions Hospital has an Ophthalmic Technician Program?

Ophthalmic CME-01

The School of Ophthalmic Medical Technology – Regions Hospital is a 21 month, full-time, day program that has been sponsored by Regions Hospital for over 40 years. The program trains up to 9 students each year to be certified as Ophthalmic Medical Technologists (COMT) and work in allied health positions within the ophthalmology community.

The School is accredited by The Commission on Accreditation of Ophthalmic Medical Programs (CoA-OMP) and is licensed as a Career School by the State of Minnesota Office of Higher Education.

As part of our goal to provide continuing education to our graduates and other ophthalmic personnel in the Midwest, we hold an annual continuing education meeting. This year is our 38th Annual Continuing Education for Ophthalmic Medical Personnel Conference. It will be held at the Embassy Suites Minneapolis Airport May 15 & 16, 2015.
